FOOD FOR LIFE 

Our mandate does not only stretch into our neighbourly surroundings, we have also been given the privilege of carrying the love of God into many other nations. We are involved in projects that are literally feeding the nations, and with that food travels the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are currently supporting a farming project that works into Malawi, which teaches people to plant gardens that are sustainable. Ken Broom heads it up and has seen incredible growth in this project, with many villages enjoying the provision of their gardens and livestock schemes. In 2009 we hope to see more and more people fed in nations struck with lack and poverty.

"There are currently 3700 people in Malawi who taking part in this project. Each of these people have a minimum of 3 gardens - making quite an impact."

ZIMBABWE

Zimbabwe has experienced massive growth from our first feeble attempts of feeding a nation. We have grown from feeding 100 families to currently feeding about 1000 families a month, as well as building the churches up in love and support. Our dreams and prayers for Zimbabwe are that God will bring huge restoration and raise this nation up.

"We are trusting God that we will have more resources to continue with the feeding program as long as He wants us to. It is reported that more than 7 million people are currently in need of foreign aid. We must do as much as we can! We also are planning to present more training opportunities to equip people with agricultural skills in order for them to be able to feed themselves. We want to, and need to, go and serve, and sow the right seed into their fields, encourage the churches, and get involved in the practical rebuilding of the nation, through displaying the heart of Jesus that in the spirit realm, will always conquer and win." - Wessie van der Westhuizen
