Looking out the window

As I read verse 6, a song started in my head…

There she was just a-walkin’ down the street, singin’ “Do wah diddy diddy dum diddy do”

Snappin’ her fingers and shufflin’ her feet, singin’ “Do wah diddy diddy dum diddy do”

She looked good, she looked fine

She looked good, she looked fine

and I nearly lost my mind

Before I knew it she was walkin’ next to me, singin’ “Do wah diddy diddy dum diddy do”

Holdin’ my hand just as natural as can be, singin’ “Do wah diddy diddy dum diddy do”

We walked into my door

We walked into my door, then we kissed a little more.

This doesn’t just apply to young men!

In our culture today it appears that this is the natural, normal course of events….. “looks good, looks fine…… think I will just make it mine…”

Proverbs 7 relays this timeless truth in a simple illustration that exposes a fundamental reality of life – “If you are looking for the road to hell, just going looking for her/his house!”

There are so many warnings for us in this chapter – it’s best that we take note and “guard our lives with His revelation-truth, for His teaching is as precious as our eyesight.”

Holy Spirit, help us to say to wisdom, “I love you” & to understanding, “You’re my sweetheart.” (Vs 4, TPT) because these two things will protect us & help us live well.

So much to consider in these situations…listenten to others that have seen these things even through the lattice..hear the Holy spirit our conscience and take flight like Joseph. I remember wise counsel many years ago..when you meet a fine looking woman don’t drop your gaze from her eyes for its then when we drop our guard.
